Rustic Staffordshire stoneware plate thrown in my garden studio.
The rim is hand painted with a selection of contrasting shades of blue and grey reminiscent of a watercolour painting.
It features a hedgerow design of leaves, seed-heads and berries and is inspired by my rural location.
The body of the clay is glazed with a clear glossy glaze to protect and preserve the image and transform it into a decorative or functional homeware.
